The Marketing Department Inc., better known as TMD, was formed by agriculture industry executive Nick Pasculli. As a VP of sales and marketing Nick had worked with a variety of agencies throughout his career. One thing he found lacking was an agency that truly understood the fresh food and agriculture industry.
Who the audiences and major players were, how product got from the ground to consumers, and general information about the industry was something he had to explain many times over. In 1999, Nick set about to change this by forming a new marketing agency, one that would be an extension of our client’s internal marketing team. While the initial focus was on fresh food and agriculture, TMD also began partnering with professional service ﬁrms, ﬁnancial institutions, transportation and logistics companies, nonproﬁts, educational institutions, travel and tourism, construction and more.
As the business picked up over the past 20 years, the team at TMD has continued to grow as well. What started out as one, has now blossomed into a team of 16, with most of those being creative team members. TMD has always stood for award-winning design based on sound marketing strategy. To do this, it is imperative to have an excellent in-house creative team. From branding and graphic design, to websites, animation, and photography, creative work is never outsourced.
